Hi everyone,

I am winding down on my 120 volt version of the preamp.

question:

there are two 2 terminal stand offs one has a one meg resistor across the 2 teminals on the left bottom of the drawing. there is also a jumper across them......what good does the resistor do if the signal can just bypass the resistor on the jumper.????

the other 2 terminal stand off is at the bass pot and goes to c9.....it looks like on one of the drawings it may be a shielded ground from a small coax.....dunno.....I dont understand this stand off either ...the one on the bass pot.....it appears as there is no connection from on terminal to the other....on the left it goes to the bass pot on the right it goes to c9/......i assume these are just connected here.......

thanks so much for helping me.

You mean the one with R2? That is the input jack. It has 4 terminals, not just 2.

Thats the output jack. Again, it's a 4 terminal. The thick black wire is the earth bus.

I am so dumb sometimes......lol.

Just wanted to take a minute to really say thanks for the forum here. I got sick about ten years ago and slowly lost my job, golf, and most everything that requires any strength.....

I am so blessed to have my music and have the opportunity to play at church on sundays. I also have kept emotionally sound by finding things i can do....one of the greatest is to teach my self electronics...having somewhat of a background in ham radio and cb radio has helped alot.

I am aware of other forums that are for building amps and such but this one has captured my heart. I love and look forward to coming here to see what is new. Also I want to thank you guys for not allowing egos and no it alls to take over here. There are really nice folks here and I for one am thankful.

This post is where you guys could have made me feel stupid but you just answered my questions. I want to thank you for your years of great help that has helped people around the world with their guitar projects.

I hope you realize how much i appreciate you:
