Hi!
Post here what kind of Distiortion you are using and HOW? and tell us your experience!

Okay ill start!

Well im using the Marshall series I got the GUV'NOR soon (the Bluesbreaker)
I have choosen it because its multifunctional! You get with a strat or with a very thin sounded Telecaster the very very very evil Les Paul sound! I tryed it out ! (while using my telecaster) I turned the bass knob to full and i hit the deep E-string okay soon, everything in my room started to fall out of my shelves *lol*

On a scale from 0-10 I got my gain on like 8~
(but im changing the gain with my guitar pot)
Mids and Deep is on like 7~
Treble is on like 5-7~
Bass on 3-5~
and Volume 5~

Well its a nice box but it got some negatives too!
-Its sounds just great at good Tube-Amps!
-And no scales... also you cant note your settings...

+Its not that expensive just 55€

Bluesbreaker 2

i use a j.t.pedals valveboy od two channels 1 gritty kinda blues tone 1 beefy od anything from marshall to mesa also has a bright or dark(fav)switch, and a fet boost switch.its pretty much a preamp.2 12ax7 tubes.i have tried many combos of tubes and have found the sovtek 12ax7lps to work the best for me.i can find no negs.with this unit well maybe the price very expensive.but well worth it.can slam the front of my amp or run it direct to the power amp it simply rocks :-D

Yeah, is a diy project and the link is right.
The sound is difficult to define, because the amp responds very differently according to the selected emulation. In fact i just use only two clean (fender twin reverb and boutique overdrive ¿?) emulations and achievement sounds from hard rock to soft metal. The j201 fets rulz! I'm very glad.
